Thomas Gillette
After high school, Thomas Gillette graduated from Wittenberg University, the University of Cincinnati, and earned his Masters from the University of Pennsylvania.
In 1975, Thomas entered the Marine Corps. After 3 years on active duty, he joined the active Marine Corps Reserve and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 2001.
Thomas worked in Facilities Management finishing his career as the Director of Physical Plant and Facilities for 15 years at the Pennsbury School District. He supervised a staff of up to 280 employees, oversaw numerous maintenance contracts, managed an $8,000,000 operating budget, and completed major renovations for a capital investment of approximately $350,000,000. In retirement in 2012, he has worked as a construction/facilities consultant.
Since 1999, Thomas has served on the Board of Trustees for the Valley Day School. Since 2002, he has served as a Board member for the Center for Student Learning Charter School at Pennsbury.
