Stan Fazekas
Stan Fazekas was an outstanding athlete, educator and community member. As an athlete, Stan was a four-year letterman in football, a member of the 1964 Class A State Championship Football Team, a member of the Plain Dealer Dream Team, and was the Class A All Ohio Quarterback in 1967. In basketball, he was a three-year letterman, and the All Western Reserve League first team center in 1968. As an educator, Stan graduated from Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University.
He taught 5th Grade at Cedarbrook Elementary for 30 years. He was a member of the Ohio Education Association. Stan’s community involvement included membership in the Fairport VFW, American Slovenian Club, Hungarian Culture Club, Fairport Historical Society.
