Matthew (Mike) R. Thomas

Mike led the Skippers to two State Track Championships winning 4 gold and 7 total medals, was back to back State Meet MVP, set the State Meet High Hurdles record, was selected First Team All Ohio basketball and the National Honor Society. In college, Mike received a BSBA'69 majoring in Real Estate from The OSU, graduated ROTC "Distinguished Military Graduate" and lettered in Track being All Ohio College in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles.

He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and played on the 4th Army basketball team and received the Army Commendation Medal. Mike entered the Real Estate business in 1971 and later was elected the President of the Lake County Board of Realtors and Broker of the Year.

He taught Real Estate Finance and Principles of Real Estate for over 30 years at Lakeland Community College. In addition, Mike entered the mortgage brokerage business in 1987.
