Katherine McCrone O'Brien

Katherine McCrone O'Brien graduated from Fairport Harding High School in 1900. She taught in the Fairport School system following graduation until her retirement in 1940. She served as the McKinley School Principal for 20 years and began the first kindergarten class in 1935.

She taught English to new arriving immigrants to Lake County. The McKinley School Gymnasium and Auditorium were dedicated to her for her over 40 years of service. She taught five generations of families in Fairport Harbor.
