John Jack Laczko
John Jack Laczko graduated from FHS in 1946; lettered in football and track; served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948 as a staff sergeant in Japan; attended Ohio University graduating in 1952 with a Bachelor's of Education degree and earned a Masters of Education in 1958 from Kent State University.
After one year in the Ravenna schools he worked 30 years at Wickliffe High School as the head of the industrial arts and vocational education department. Jack provided the Fairport community services that made Fairport Harbor a wonderful place to live.
He was involved in the Men's Civic Club for 50 years, President and Trustee of the Historical Society, Mardi Gras Board member, Lifetime VFW Honor Color Guard, Lifetime American Legion and Lifetime Elks Club member. He volunteered at the Hungarian Reformed Church, Fairport Library and Fairport Schools.
