Dr. Richard Olson
Dr. Olson was class salutatorian and an outstanding football and basketball player at Fairport. He attended Ohio State University earning his medical degree, and was certified by American Board of Ophthalmology. He was head of Ophthalmology at Riverside Methodist Hospitals and was staff physician at Children’s Hospital and Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was a clinical associate professor in the department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and became a nationally published author and lecturer. He was commissioned Captain in the US Army Medical Corps, and was the chief of the EENT section at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital. Richard successfully participated in multiple Senior Olympics tennis tournaments.
