Deanna Peden
Deanna Peden graduated with nine leggers in three different sports while a student at FHS as well as was MVP for the girl's basketball team and the best defensive player for the girl's volleyball team. She also marched in the band, did leading roles in several musicals, and was President of the Language Club. Deanna went on to earn both a bachelor's and master's degree in Vocal Performance from The College of Wooster and The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She has sung leading roles with companies throughout the US and made her solo debut at Lincoln Centers Avery Fisher Hall in New York City. she moved out to NYC in 2000 to begin her teaching and directing career.
In addition to developing 8 private vocal studios, she founded DLP Productions “Houston on Broadway” and served as the Producer and Artistic Director. Deanna has also partnered with many performing arts schools throughout the country (including Orange County School of Performing Arts in Santa Ana, CA the New World School of Music in Miami as well as the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton.) and various high (magnet) schools to offer her expertise in teaching voice, directing scenes, giving master classes, teaching song literature repertoire. Deanna moved to SW Florida full-time in 2020 and is both honored and excited to begin her career there by joining Gulfshore Opera as the Social Engagement Manager and heading up their Emerging Artist Program.
